+ The St. Charles Public Library provides databases and guides as an easy-to-use resource for job seekers, including resume and cover letter builders, information about careers, and online job hunting.  Registered patrons of the Library also have access to:

  • Ferguson’s Career Guidance Center
    Information on more than 3,300 jobs in 94 industries. Includes sample resumes and cover letters, and tips on interviewing. Also includes 48,000 scholarships and internships.
    • Learning Express Library
    Provides interactive practice tests, including the SAT, ACT, GED, civil service, military, real estate, teacher certification, and more. Also includes computer skills training and United States citizenship.
    • Plunkett Research Online
    For professionals in sales and marketing or anyone researching specific industries. Job seekers and professionals in human resources and recruiting will appreciate the Job Seekers Center.

+  The mission of the Tri-City Unemployment Group is to provide an opportunity to network, offer presentations on the job search process, to develop skills, and provide resource materials. Meetings are at Bethlehem Lutheran Church every other Monday night from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Any employer or job seeker in St. Charles, Geneva or Batava, Illinois, is welcome to post a job opening or resume on this job board. +  Illinois Department of Employment Security is a direct link to Illinois workforce services: job placement and referrals, unemployment insurance, employment and training programs, career and labor market information. There are also valuable resources available for both individuals and business, as well as, information on High Growth Key Sector industries.

+  The Kane County Department of Employment & Education (KCDEE) receives state and federal funding to administer workforce development services in Kane, DeKalb, and Kendall Counties in Illinois. KCDEE provides services and resources for eligible adults, dislocated workers, and youth in support of developing a world-class talent pool for area businesses.

KCDEE offers a variety of resources for job hunters, employers and the youth workforce.

Anyone contemplating a career change, needing assistance in updating their resume or job skills, or those who are just getting started in the workforce can sign up for workshops.
