RIBBON CUTTING SCHEDULE
If you'd like to schedule a ribbon cutting, please complete the form below.
Ribbon Cuttings must be requested at least two months (8 weeks) in advance for proper marketing and promotion and are scheduled on a Tuesday or Wednesday. Ceremony hours are 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM.
HOSTING BENEFITS
Ribbon Cutting/Hosting fees are $200 and available to current and up-to-date members only:
- STCACC will arrange for a St. Charles City Official, the Chamber’s Executive Director or Chairman of the Board, or other dignitary to officiate. (We do not guarantee the attendance of the Mayor, it is only a request)
- STCACC will contact Chamber Ambassadors, Committee Members, Chamber Board & Staff to encourage their attendance
- A notice of your Ribbon Cutting in Chamber communications, and on the Chamber’s website as well as promoted on social media
- STCACC will provide "official" ribbon and scissors for the ceremony
- STCACC will take photos to post to the Chamber’s social media
- Up to five minutes of microphone time at your ceremony promoting your business
EVENT RECOMMENDATIONS
To ensure that your Ribbon Cutting celebration is successful, we encourage our hosts to:
- Send out invitations to customers, friends, and family and promote on your social media sites
- Send out a press release to local media announcing your upcoming celebration
- Add excitement to your celebration by offering discounts and door prizes
- Be sure to provide hors d’oeuvres and refreshments for those who attend. We recommend soft drinks, beer and/or wine. If you need a caterer, be sure to check the STCACC website directory for catering Members
- Dedicate time to provide tours of your business space to your guests
- Display your literature and give out promotional items
- Please feel free to do as much or as little as you would like to “showcase” your business; we want you to be creative and comfortable with hosting your celebration
- Please note that once your event is promoted, we strongly suggest there be no change to the date and time.
BUSINESS AFTER HOURS
Want to welcome Chamber members into your space, showcase your business, and make connections in a relaxed after-hours setting? Hosting a Business After Hours is a great way to introduce fellow members to your business or organization while creating an easy, social environment for conversation and connection.
These events give members a chance to unwind, meet new people, reconnect with familiar faces, and learn more about the businesses and organizations that make up our Chamber community.
If you would like to host a Business After Hours in 2027, we would love to hear from you!
Event Details
Business After Hours events are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month.
There is no fee to host. Hosting dates are limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
What Hosting Looks Like
Hosts should be prepared to:

Welcome 20+ Chamber members into their space

Provide their logo for Chamber marketing and event promotion

Provide and serve appetizers and beverages for attendees

Offer alcoholic beverages if desired, though they are not required

Offer a tour of the space, if appropriate
Hosts are also welcome to display signage, brochures, products, or other materials that help members learn more about their business.
To keep the focus on networking and connection, formal programming is kept brief. The Chamber will welcome guests, recognize the host, and help guide the flow of the event.

RISE & NETWORK
Want to bring Chamber members into your space, introduce them to your business, and start the day with some great connections Hosting a Rise & Network is a simple way to welcome fellow members into your business or organization while giving them a chance to learn more about what you do in a relaxed, conversational setting.
These morning events are designed to be easy, welcoming, and connection-focused. Members come to meet new people, catch up with familiar faces, and get a closer look at the businesses and organizations that make up our Chamber community.
If you would like to host a Rise & Network in 2027, we would love to hear from you!
Event Details
Rise & Network events are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 7:30–9:00 a.m.
There is no fee to host. Hosting dates are limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
What Hosting Looks Like
Hosts should be prepared to:

Provide their logo for Chamber marketing and event promotion

Offer light morning refreshments such as coffee, pastries, fruit, or similar items

Share a brief introduction to their business or organization.

Offer a tour of the space, if appropriate
Hosts are also welcome to display signage, brochures, products, or other materials that help members learn more about their business.
